CHAPTER 1
GENERAL PROVISIONS

§1

1. The "ŻAK" Foundation of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, hereinafter referred to as the "Foundation", established by the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, hereinafter referred to as the "Founder", by a notarial deed of 6th December 1991 prepared at the National Notary Office in Olsztyn. acts on the basis of the Act on Foundations and the present Statutes.
2. The Foundation serves the students of the University.
3. The Foundation may be supported by legal and natural persons regardless of their seat, citizenship or place of residence.

§2

1. The Foundation shall operate in the Republic of Poland and abroad in accordance with applicable laws.
2. The seat of the Foundation is the city of Olsztyn.
3. The Foundation is a legal entity.
4. Due to the scope of activity and objectives of the Foundation, the supervisory authority is the Minister responsible for higher education.

§3

1. The purpose of the Foundation is:
   1) striving to improve living and dining conditions for students of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn,
   2) creation of infrastructure that enables intellectual and cultural development as well as sports and recreation, and organizational and financial assistance in the implementation of student activities in this area.
2. The Foundation Council may supplement or amend the objectives of the Foundation by amending the Foundation's Articles of Incorporation.
